Data stored on your device
KOOCOOLS stores groups, routines, schedules, goals, reminder rules, record values and the activity log, statistics preferences, and widget display settings in a local SQLite database on your device.
The app does not provide account registration, login, first-party cloud synchronization, advertising, behavior analytics, tracking, or Health platform integration.
On Android, KOOCOOLS turns off the operating system’s automatic backup, so the app database, the widget snapshot, and scheduled notifications are not copied to a Google account. The app itself transmits your records nowhere: the only time it sends them off the device is when you run an export or a share yourself.
The statements in this policy about an operating system’s automatic backup were verified on Android. How an operating-system backup on iOS handles app data has not been fully verified, so this policy does not describe it yet; the policy is updated before any iOS release.
Widgets and notifications
If you add a widget, your home screen may show a routine name, today’s value and unit, goal status or value, attention state, completion state, recorded state, and which control the row gets — check, stepper, or open the app. App-only shared storage also includes technical values needed to update the widget, such as a routine identifier, local date, increment and minimum values, and the next due time.
Reminder notifications are scheduled locally. A notification shows the routine name as its title and the due time in its body. It does not include the recorded value or goal value.
Backup and sharing
A backup is created only when you choose to export one. It is a readable UTF-8 JSON file containing groups, routines and record-field setup; schedule and goal versions, exceptions and pause periods; reminder rules and statistics or widget display settings; and daily records, rows, values and the activity log.
Backups do not include platform notification IDs, the scheduling-window notice, a running timer, or app settings. After the share sheet is opened, KOOCOOLS does not retain another copy. A file saved or shared outside the app is handled under the rules of the destination you choose.
When you change devices or reinstall the app, a backup file you created yourself is the guaranteed way to carry earlier records over. Without one, records from the previous installation cannot be restored.
Deletion and retention
Deleting a routine removes its related local app data. Deleting the app removes the data the app stored on the device, and because automatic backup is turned off on Android, reinstalling the app does not bring earlier records back.
Backup files that you previously saved or shared outside KOOCOOLS are separate files and are not deleted automatically. Remove them from their destination if you no longer need them.
Health information
KOOCOOLS is a personal routine-recording tool, not a medical service. It does not diagnose, assess, or determine whether a health-related value is good or bad.
Operator and contact
KOOCOOLS is developed and operated by Minkoo Yoon, an individual developer. No business address or telephone number is published, because none is registered for this app.
Questions about this policy, and requests about the data KOOCOOLS keeps on your device, go to info.koocools@gmail.com. Because there is no account and no first-party server, the operator holds no copy of your records and can only answer questions about how the app behaves on your own device.
Effective date and changes
This policy takes effect on 2026-09-06. It is the first version, so there is no earlier revision to compare it with.
Material changes are published on this page together with the new effective date and the date of the revision. If a future release adds payments, crash reporting, analytics, or synchronization, this policy and the store declarations are updated before that release.
