Start with the checks below. If none of them answers your question, the contact address is at the bottom of this page.

A reminder did not appear, or arrived late

Check that notifications are allowed for KOOCOOLS, that the routine’s reminder is turned on, that the device is not in a focus or do-not-disturb mode, and that the scheduled time has not already passed. On Android, reminders can arrive a few minutes late unless “Alarms & reminders” is allowed for the app in device settings.

Adding a widget and keeping it current

Add the KOOCOOLS widget the way your device adds widgets to the home screen, then choose which widget preset it shows. It redraws when you record something, and on Android also when the date changes. If it still looks out of date, open the app once and confirm the routine has not been archived or deleted.

Making and restoring a backup

In Backup & restore, making a backup writes everything so far to one JSON file and hands it to the share sheet. Restoring asks you to pick a file, checks it inside a separate temporary database, and shows what the file contains before anything changes. A restore replaces the current groups, routines, and records on the device and cannot be undone, so make a fresh backup first if today’s data still matters.

I need to move my data

Export a backup file before you change devices. That file is the guaranteed way to carry earlier records over, and on Android automatic backup is not used, so records cannot be recovered if you remove the app or move to a new device without one. The exported JSON file is readable and should be stored with the same care as your routine records.

Changing the language

KOOCOOLS follows your device language and can also be set to Korean, English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, or Traditional Chinese in Settings. The change applies immediately. Group, routine, field, and unit names you typed yourself are never translated or overwritten.

I want to remove my data

Delete the relevant routine or remove the app. Remember to separately delete any backup files you saved elsewhere.

What is free, and what Plus adds

Without Plus, up to five routines can be active at once. All four ways to record, past records, the calendar, statistics, reminders, widgets, and backup and restore work the same with or without Plus, and there is no limit on how often you record. Plus removes the limit on active routines. When Plus ends, no routine or record is deleted or changed. If more than five routines are active, you choose five to keep recording; the others can still be read and backed up, and they come back as they were once Plus is valid again.

Buying Plus and cancelling a subscription

Plus is sold through the App Store or Google Play as a monthly or yearly subscription, or as a lifetime product, a one-time purchase that does not renew. The total price, the billing period, and whether it renews are shown before you confirm. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it in the subscription settings of the store you bought it from; deleting the app does not cancel it. To avoid being charged for the next period, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. After you cancel, Plus stays available until the end of the period you have already paid for. Buying the lifetime product does not cancel a subscription you already have; cancel it in the store’s subscription settings.

Refunds and withdrawal

Under the Korean Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, you may withdraw a purchase within 7 days of buying it, as that Act provides. Because the store processes the payment, a withdrawal or refund is requested from the App Store or Google Play and handled under that store’s refund policy. If the store declines a withdrawal or refund that the law entitles you to, contact the operator. The operator can see purchase records only under a random identifier, not under your name or email address, so include the order number from the store’s receipt.

Restoring a purchase

On a new device or after a reinstall, tap “Restore purchases” in Settings or on the Plus screen while signed in to the store account you bought with. A lifetime product has no end date and stays valid while your store account still owns it. It covers every Plus feature that runs on your device, including on-device features added to Plus later. Features that rely on a server, if they are ever introduced, may be offered as a separate product. Purchases do not move between the App Store and Google Play: a purchase made on iOS cannot be restored on Android, and the other way round. Restoring a purchase brings back Plus, not your records; those move only with a backup file.

Reporting a problem

Include the app version, your operating system and version, the steps that led to what you saw, and the setup of the routine involved — schedule, goal, and reminder. What you expected and what happened instead is usually enough to reproduce it.
